Arizona Geriatric Education Center Interprofessional education

Collaboration with the Arizona Geriatric Education Center, which develops and provides interprofessional education (IPE), assists in faculty development, and promotes interdisciplinary geriatric research.

Arizona Interprofessional Telegeriatrics (AZIT) Program Interprofessional grand rounds

Collaboration with the Arizona Interprofessional Telegeriatrics (AZIT) Program, which engages in monthly interprofessional grand rounds through a statewide teleconferencing connection between Arizona’s geriatric health education professional programs, the State Agency on Aging, and Area Agencies on Aging.

Educational intervention Skills building

An educational intervention effort intended to help students in the allied health disciplines to build skills for interprofessional collaboration by bringing them together for joint learning activities.

Interprofessional Education & Practice Program (IPE & P) Coordinating Council Interprofessional education

Representation on the Interprofessional Education & Practice Program (IPE & P) Coordinating Council, which is designed to incorporate interprofessional education and practice competencies within and across all health professions programs.

Interprofessional Senior Mentor Program (IPSMP) Student education

Collaboration on the Interprofessional Senior Mentor Program (IPSMP), which isdesigned to provide health professions students with supplementary geriatric education, practical experience with a healthy older adult, and experience working in an interdisciplinary team.

Lend Grant Interdisciplinary training

Collaboration in development of the Lend grant, which is an interdisciplinary effort to develop leadership education in neurodevelopmental disabilities. It provides funds for interdisciplinary training through stipends.
