Has the internship stimulated your interest in the field?
My internship position was at a local dental office in Tempe. It gave me great insight on day to day operations in the field. I learned various front and back office procedures.

What key skills do you feel you have developed and gained from the internship? What have you learned from participating in the program?
The key skills I gained from the internship is the development of the social aspect when interacting with patients in a health-care atmosphere. Patient care depends on effective communication. It was important to see this chairside.

What suggestions would you give to students who want to participate in PHIP?
Really participate and get to know the staff you are working with, take charge of the great opportunity and make connections! The site supervisor really is there to help you towards your goal.

What are your plans for career development and/or your education after your internship?
I will be applying to Dental School in the upcoming application season after graduating from ASU.
