The Tuberculosis Control and Prevention program under MCPH also performs diagnostic procedures, such as chest x-rays, for clinic patients under the orders of a medical provider in the TB Clinic. If you are required to obtain TB clearance for an employer, school, or to perform volunteer work, you must obtain a Health Card. The program offers Health Cards indicating TB disease status to Maricopa County residents and visitors that require TB clearance, for any reason, for a fee of $65. Health cards are available on a walk-in basis, and no appointment is necessary. Please be advised that TB skin tests will require you to return to the clinic 48-72 hours after the skin test is placed. For this reason, skin tests are not administered on Thursdays, or on Fridays if the following Monday is a holiday. Please call 602-372-1407 for more information.
